ASTM D2661 - Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) Schedule 40 Plastic Drain, Waste, and Vent Pipe and Fittings
Nominal pipe size, outside diameter, thickness and weight.
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is used for
- interior and exterior sanitary
- industrial drainage and vent systems
- pressurized liquid lines for salt water, irrigation and crude oil
- pumped waste
ABS is approved for potable water systems. ABS is slightly more rigid than PVC. ABS is one of the least resistant plastic to solvents.
Upper service temperature is 175°F (80°C).
Dimensions of ABS pipes according ASTM D2661 Standard Specification for Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) Schedule 40 Plastic Drain, Waste, and Vent Pipe and Fittings.
