Stiffness
Stiffness is the resistance of an elastic body to deflection or deformation by an applied force - and can be expressed as
k = F / δ (1)
where
k = stiffness (N/m, lb/in)
F = applied force (N, lb)
δ = extension, deflection (m, in)
