Steam Pipes - Heat Loss over a Year
Yearly heat loss in amount of coal or oil consumption for insulated and uninsulated steam pipes at different dimensions and operation times
Yearly heat loss per meter pipe line is estimated for steam pipes with pressure 6.5 bar (7.5 bar abs, 168oC) and surrounding air temperature 20 oC.
Increasing the steam pressure increases the temperature and influences energy consumption and heat loss.
