Duct Wrap Insulation - Thermal Resistance
Faced insulation has a vapor paper or plastic facing retarder. Unfaced insulation lacks the retarder.
The vapor retarder helps to prevent mold and mildew. Faced insulation should be used in exterior walls and attic ceilings. Check the local building codes for the vapor retarder requirements.
