Section Modulus - Unit Converter
The Elastic Section Modulus of a beam is the ratio of the cross section Area Moment of Inertia to its greatest distance from the neutral axis.
For a simple solid Square the Section Modulus can be expressed as
Sx = Sy = a3 / 6 (1)
where
S = Elastic Section Modulus - related to bending around x vs. y axis (m3, cm3, ft3, in3)
a = square side distance (m, in, ft..)

Example - Convert Section Modulus in unit in3 to cm3
12 in3 can be converted to cm3 by multiplying with 16.38 - as
(12 in3) (16.38 cm3/in3) = 196.6 cm3
