Serial Connection

Inductance in a serial connection can be expressed as:

L = L1 + L2 + ... + Ln               (1)

where

L = inductance (henrys)

Parallel Connection

Inductance in a parallel connection can be expressed as:

1 / L = 1 / L1 + 1 / L2 + ... + 1 / Ln                  (2)
