Carrying capacities for gas pipes size 1/2" to 8" can be found below. Due to the pressure loss, the capacity of a pipeline will decrease with the length of pipe.

The table can be used for low pressure gas with specific gravity 0.6. The pressure drop is 0.3 inches of water for the whole length of pipe.
